Jam & Lewis Music Maker — Black Music Action Coalition

As we approach the 250 year anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence, the Black Music Action Coalition presents BMAC x America250 Voices of Tomorrow, a national call for original music and a music collaboration engine, inspired by both the history and the promise of America.

This is not just a talent search, this is a national call to purpose. We are calling on emerging artists across this country to create original music that speaks to truth, reflects our lived experience, and challenges America to live up to its potential.

Selected artists will enter a collaborative process with leading artists, producers, and songwriters, designed to elevate their original work and expand their creative impact. Each selected participant will receive a $10,000 BMAC Music Maker Grant, along with a year of mentorship, development, and access to BMAC programming and industry connections, including the opportunity for a major distribution deal.

Please submit an original piece of music that speaks the truth of your experience in this country. Themes can resonate around your lived experience, your challenges, and also your power. Your power to overcome, your power to thrive, your power to change things.
Music can speak to the history of this country as well as the promise we still have to live up to.
The call is open to all genres such as Country, HipHop, R&B, Gospel, Rock, etc.
Please also submit a brief video through the application portal to introduce yourself and highlight the story of your song.
